JACOB LAWS INTERIOR DESIGN is a luxury residential and upmarket hospitality design firm rooted in the creative power of design and implemented through each unique project. The main objective: to positively influence the lives of clients and community. JLID is based in Charleston, South Carolina with projects across the United States.

Jacob’s designs tell his clients’ stories through his discerning eye and powerful intuition. His projects all maintain a level of confidence within the carefully collected and effortlessly refined details and his curatorial approach assures rhythmic individuality. The most successful designs are when a project is fulfilling and rewarding to both client’s daily lives and the designer’s need to imagine and build. Creating environments that are representative and reflective of his clients become designs which positively influence one’s quality of life.

The only directive to his process in a creative capacity, is that there is no formula. Jacob says, “ Any formula regulating imagination is the antithesis of ingenuity and stifles the creative process.”

“ Classicism and livable modernity is at the foundation of all projects, small or large. Laws is known and sought for his belief in design as a powerful, livable form of visual art. The designs consequent to this mantra maintain a level of pedigreed confidence and relay Laws’ curatorial approach: inspired and studied, with a sense of humor that denotes his well-honed skillset, reaching far beyond the “bore next door.” Art, history, fashion, travel, film, and music all play a part in his process, one which has earned him 18 industry awards, including the FGI Rising Star Award and features in the Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, House Beautiful, and Vogue. Laws’ work has been published in international interior design books and has earned him a spot on the distinguished Architectural Digest AD Pro Featured Designer List, and the 1stDibs International 50 Designers to Watch list. “ - ARCHITECTURAL DIGEST
