Friends, FUNction, And Design

EVERY project I work on becomes personal to me because I love what I do. To that end, every project is rewarding because the finished design enhances and influences my client’s quality of life- it’s especially fantastic, though, when said project happens to be one of your best friends. I recently got to “boss around” a very trusting cohort of mine who wanted me to push his boundaries a bit in his beautiful turn of the century Tudor. The goal was to streamline and update spaces while respecting the architectural integrity of the house but not giving into a “period” aesthetic that is so easily done in a historic home. And, man, oh, man- the man like to entertain. So, the end result was a refreshed home with a chic sense of humor where he could do just that- in style…
